Overview

Easy Operation. This wiring harness allows you to connect your Diode Dynamics lights with backlight functionality to your vehicle's wiring for simple, everyday operation. When paired with our LED pods with a white main beam and red backlight, this harness allows your lights to operate as an additional red accent light, with your tail lights, and then automatically switches to a high-power backup light when your vehicle is in reverse. The included toggle switch allows you to override the vehicle signals and turn on the main beam anytime.

This harness safely powers up to 5A of auxiliary lamps per DT connector. Please refer to the current draw data below.

  1. Can i use this reverse wiring harness to tap to my high beams and at the same time i can switch it ON manually ? Will this work on SS3 PODS without backlight. I am using ss3 pro driving.
    You could do it this way, but you would have to splice the 2-pin connectors in place of the 4-pin ones on this harness. You can get it working the way you want though, it is just a little bit more custom with this harness.

  2. I plan to install this directly to an Auxbeam switch panel, but want to maintain the two different functions the harness provides (running light wired to reverse/taillights + main beam override 'on'). That said, I'm planning to forgo the relay and included switch, and just wire directly to my auxbeam. Can this be done? Will I need in-line diodes? If so, can you provide schematic? Thanks.
    You can get this installed to your Aux Switch, but you will need to keep the relay and round button switch, as this harness is set up differently from a regular off-road harness. You will need inline diodes to prevent backfeeding. Please send us an email to contact@diodedynamics.com and we can get you the schematic you will need to make this setup easier.

  3. I have this reverse wiring kit. Is there a way to turn the backlight on with the included switch instead of the t-tap? I have the ambers and dont want those on all the time.
    With this harness, there is no way to activate only the backlight without modification. You could wire a secondary switch that goes to the backlight T-Tap instead of having it hooked up to the taillight.

  4. Is it possible to have this harness function like normal (red accent lights and turns on with shifting into reverse) AND have an aux/upfitter switch override at the same time? Or is it only one or the other?
    You can utilize an upfitter switch to trigger the manual reverse light functionality by unplugging the yellow wire on our switch, and routing that to the appropriate OEM pigtail on the truck. This will allow you to manually turn the reverse light on with your upfitter switch versus our included switch.

  5. Can they be wired to the factory aux switch in a F350?
    To trigger the reverse light with an Aux style switch, you would disconnect the yellow wire from our switch, and wire that to your factory Aux pigtail.

  6. Can this harness switch be made to override brake power red (instead of reverse white) using the Hitch light as a rear red fog light?
    Unfortunately, this particular harness is not designed for that type of functionality. The hitch light that we offer will have a different harness that is to tying into the trailer hitch plug.
