Add extra length. This DT extension wire can be used anywhere where you need extra length to connect your auxiliary lighting to the wiring harness. This extension wire uses standard DT 4-pin connectors, and is compatible with all Diode Dynamics Stage Series LED Pods with backlight functionality. This harness features over-molded connectors with an embossed Diode Dynamics logo, providing strain relief and protection from the elements.

Plug and play. This extension wire features one male connector and one female connector, for plug-and-play extension.

  1. Hello,I have dual batteries set up in my truck (12V) and want to have a diode set up on one so it will not discharge unless diode is bypassed.
    Any ideas? Appreciate your input as I am out of ideas .... :)Sam
    We would recommend locating a controller or module specifically for this, as it's not recommended to use a custom part for this due to the high amperage loads.

  2. Can I just connect the aux wire to the high beam socket at the headlight Or does this need to go to a switch ?
    You can run the activation to the high beam or really any 12V wire you want to activate the light(s) with. All the Aux wire is doing is acting as a signal to flip the relay on and off.

  3. Does the Heavy Duty Single Output 2-Pin Offroad Wiring Harness contain a “flyback” or “flywheel” diode in the relay?
    This wire harness does not contain one of those types of diodes.

  4. I have a factory wire that is the trigger wire that is connected to my BCM that goes through my factory switch on gmc. On your heavy duty harness switch, which of the 3 connectors is the trigger wire since I only need to use that one trigger wire.
    Thanks for reaching out! The blue wire on our harness is our "trigger wire" As long as the harness is connected to the terminals on the battery, only the blue wire would need the power to flip the relay and send power through to the rest of the kit. Essentially the blue wire acts as a signal wire in this case. Thank you!

  5. Will the 30” light bar flicker when on?
    None of our light bars will flicker when on.

  6. Is this compatible with the 6 and 12 inch light bars as well? and also which toggle switch does it come with.. is it illuminated and water proof? since i am looking to add this to my ATV.
    The heavy duty harness can be utilized with smaller bars like our 6 or 12 inch units. The harness will come with a basic illuminated toggle switch, that will be weather resistant. We do recommend installing all wiring in a way that will be as much out of the exposed elements as possible for best long-term reliability.

NOTE: The gold spade on the toggle switch should be connected to the black (ground) wire.
